Delete your data
For the Android app Share The Word by John Tibell, on Google Play as com.johntibell.sharetheword. You never create an account in the app; it uses an anonymous ID for community Amens.
In the app (instant)
- Open Share The Word and tap Settings (the sliders at the top right).
- Tap Privacy, then Erase my data, and confirm with Erase.
You need to be online; if you aren't, nothing is erased and the app tells you so.
By email
No longer have the app? Email support@johntibell.com. Tell us roughly when you used the app and a few verses you said Amen to, so we can find your anonymous records. We delete them within 30 days and reply when it's done.
What is deleted
- Each Amen you said (the community counts go down with them)
- The record of when you said them
- Your saved list of Amens on the server
- Your anonymous ID
What is kept
- Nothing online that is linked to you.
- Anonymous usage statistics in Google Firebase Analytics, which aren't tied to your anonymous ID, are kept for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically.
- Your settings on your own phone stay there until you uninstall the app.
